Info “Beesadaptic”: The Cyber-Grundge Band
The band’s name originates as a combination of audio and video images – a phrase overheard on a biology lesson, and episode of the “X-Files” featuring attack of genetically-engineered bees, the picture of a honeycomb on the cover of “A Taste Of Honey” album by The Beatles.
The band’s music style is called the “cyber-grundge” by the band members: a combination of cyberpunk and grunge; the letter D in the “grundge” is not a typo, it symbolizes an ironical reminiscence to the author of the term – Dizzy, the frontman of the band.
The essential features of Beesadaptic musical style are unexpected and instant mood changes and deep sound density of semi-electronic compositions, the “airy” content and 3D-images put together with detached performance manner carry the listener up to a new perception level.
The positive space energy of Beesadaptic live shows, the power of the guitar drive, the wall of white sharp-pointed sound flying almost at the light speed provoke physical excitement. Forgotten childish smiles of delight can often be noticed on the listeners’ faces as a reaction to the touch of something magic.
Band members: Dizzy – vocals, guitar, lyrics, Max – guitar, VS – keyboards, computer effects, ASi – drums
Since 2003 Beesadaptic have been giving public performances on stages of different Russian cities – Moscow, St Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, Vologda, Yaroslavl and others.
In 2005 Beesadaptic were invited to take part in the “Alternative New Year” music festival in Vologda along with leading bands of the Russian alternative stage.
At the same time the songs “All. Always.” and “Hopeless Secret” got good feedback at Nashe Radio; as a result of that, the band was selected to play at the summer open-air “Crossroads” (Nizhny Novgorod) together with such flagships of the Russian rock as Alisa and Pilot.
In 2006 Beesadaptic got involved into organization of several topical concerts “Indie Music Party” in Nizhny Novgorod which special guest groups from different regions of the country were invited to.
The band songs have been rotated at Nashe Radio, Nizhegorodskaya Volna, Felix Radio, Special Radio, AlterVersion, V otrYve, TinFM. Premieres of the “Fairy tale in itself” (2007) and “Disposition” (2008) music videos were held on the first alternative music TV channel A-One and the youth channel O2TV. Now the videos are aired on these music channels.
In 2005 and 2007 the band was nominated for RAMP - Russian Alternative Music Prize – for two nominations – “Discovery of the Year” and “Underground Act of the Year”.
Albums:
2005 – Wake up, tundra! (EP)
2006 – Point of no return (Mini Album)
2007 - Chapter One – Fairy tale in itself (Digital Download Maxi-Single)

Andrey Ivanov (“Moral Code”), Andrey Alyakrinsky (“Tequilajazzz”), Boris Istomin (“Mosfilm Studio”, “Knob Studio”), Yury Bogdanov (“Magic Mastering Studio”) were assisting the band to make a record of their albums.
